Alara Salt, (-1460, -1380) was a merchant in Danangombe.
Alara believed in Ancient Egyptian religion.
He was rich, and owned many houses, many goods. Among these possessions, he began an art collection. As a noble, he had a strong power over most of the society. Anyone tried to gain their favors. He is still seen as an eternal cultural symbol. He changed the life of many thanks to their cultural masterpieces. He was force of nature, and people saw in their body and beauty the incarnation of a god. He was iron-willed, achieving any goal he set.
Alara, 58 years old, merchant, became the new leader of the family.
Aged 71, Alara spent time and money for the people that needed help. On the first day of the month after, Alara overcame a depression.
At the age of 80, Alara needed more love in his life and began to flirt around. Alara had a passionate affair with Qalhata, an ugly woman, 71 years old, a executioner. A bastard child came out of this short lived love. It was a beautiful girl named Chikondi. Alara had no choice but to adopt Chikondi who became part of the family from now on. At the same time, Alara blackmailed a famous figure in Danangombe to gain influence. Later, Alara had a big fight and broke ties with a member of the family. The same day, Alara fell in love with Yoruba, a monstrous looking woman, 34 years old, a basket maker. Both married and lived together from now on.
The same day, Yoruba got pregnant, and gave birth to a very small girl named Naserian.
Alara died of a heart arrhythmia.
