He lived a life of absolute poverty. Eating or sleeping in a safe place was a constant struggle. He lived as an outcast. To tell the truth, in Katsina-Ala, he gained the trust or the friendship of no one. People saw Bayissa as cultivated, eager to read and learn when possible, and mastering writing, which he did for friends. He was force of nature, and people saw in their body and beauty the incarnation of a god. He was mostly indecisive, usually accepting any order from anyone.
Bayissa, 10 years old, was chosen to be the new leader of the family. However, he was too young for now and was raised by a friend of the family.
At the age of 16, Bayissa, 16 years old, mosaic artist, became the new leader of the family.
14 years later, Bayissa understood that only by helping each other one can truly live. Later, Bayissa was told by a priest of Berber religion that the stars promised a good future.
In the year 318, Bayissa spent a lot of time thinking and meditating about his beliefs. Soon after, Bayissa had to help financially a friend in need. On the next full moon, Bayissa read some forbidden texts. A little while after, Bayissa fell in love with Akinyi, a beautiful woman, 35 years old, a guard.
