Gilat Tafsutfitz
Gilat Tafsutfitz, (-2254, -2162) was a leather worker in Volubilis.
Gilat believed in Folk religion.
She lived mostly in extreme poverty. Simply eating was an issue, most of the days. She was considered as belonging to the lowest caste. However, she made some friends among it. People saw Gilat as cultivated, eager to read and learn when possible, and mastering writing, which she did for friends. She was force of nature, and people saw in their body and beauty the incarnation of a god. In the life, she was able to take a few important life-changing decisions.
Gilat, 23 years old, leather worker, became the new leader of the family.
Aged 28, Gilat needed more love in her life and began to flirt around. Gilat had a passionate affair with Gazualum, a charming man, 23 years old, a lumberjack. A bastard child came out of this short lived love. It was a beautiful boy named Farhad. Gilat had no choice but to adopt Farhad who became part of the family from now on. A few weeks later, Gilat learned an old tale from a wandering ermit. On the next full moon, Gilat fell in love with Dariush, an average looking man, 30 years old, a brick maker. Both married and lived together from now on.
On the next full moon, Gilat got pregnant, and gave birth to a huge baby boy named Ahmet.
She was oppressed by the people in Nippur for believing in Ancient Egyptian religion, and she had to change her religion to Folk religion.
Aged 38, Gilat spent time socializing with people in Nippur. She made some strong friendships (and a couple of enemies). Soon after, Gilat participated at a coup, but failed and had to get away. The departure was sponsored by a local figure that gave her a recommandation, so she would be welcomed wherever she went. The family settled in Tiya. On the first day of the month after, Gilat fasted on a regular basis.
The same day, Gilat got pregnant, and gave birth to a monstrous looking boy named Osorkon.
She was oppressed by the people in Tiya for believing in Folk religion, and she had to find another place to live. The travel was the occasion to do some merchandise dealing, and she made some business. The family settled in Volubilis.
Aged 48, Gilat spent time to learn to cook better, and made some various experiments. Not all of the dishes were good, but most weren't bad. Half a year later, Gilat had her house stormed down by a hurricane. Half a year later, Gilat had to hold a very ceremonial speech and did well.
A little while after, Gilat got pregnant, and gave birth to an ugly boy named Onanojah.
At the age of 63, Gilat spent time to learn to cook better, and made some various experiments. Not all of the dishes were good, but most weren't bad. Nine months after, Gilat began to take naps regurlarly.
She was oppressed by the people in Volubilis for believing in Folk religion, and everything was difficult.
8 years later, Gilat spent time to learn to cook better, and made some various experiments. Not all of the dishes were good, but most weren't bad. A few weeks later, Gilat couldn't heal a sore tooth. On the next full moon, Gilat became ambitious.
Aged 85, Gilat invested time and efforts into a special artistic creation, but it wasn't a success, for she had no enough culture. People made fun of her attempt at creation, and Gilat lost courage. Later, Gilat was tired by a minor, but chronic disase. At the same time, Gilat moved into a bigger home.
Aged 92, Gilat decided to enjoy life. She spent everything she earned for the pleasure of the body and the mind. Many people in Volubilis were invited to enjoy life with her, and thus, she made many friends. A few days later, Gilat adopted a cat.
Gilat died of a heart failure.
