Iput Ishaya

Iput Ishaya, (-1299, -1219) was a jeweler in Meroe.

Iput believed in Ancient Egyptian religion.

She was rich, and owned many houses, many goods. Among these possessions, she began an art collection. She belonged to the low caste of the society, and had some friends among the servants, beggars and workers. She was of a sophisticated culture, masters a couple of languages, and always curious to understand other cultures. She was physically powerful, with a perfect body in a perfect health. She had an unbending mind, always reaching their goal.

Iput, 34 years old, jeweler, became the new leader of the family.

In the year -1260, Iput spent time socializing with people in Meroe. She made some strong friendships (and a couple of enemies). A few days later, Iput gave money to the poor. Nine months after, Iput fell in love with Lweendo, an ugly man, 28 years old, a cook. Both married and lived together from now on.

A few weeks later, Iput got pregnant and gave birth to an adorable baby. However, the baby died in the following year by accidental suffocation. The whole family was shaken.

In the year -1254, Iput spent a lot of time thinking and meditating about her beliefs. The same day, Iput read some forbidden texts.

At the same time, Iput got pregnant and gave birth to an adorable baby. However, the baby died in the following year by accidental suffocation. The whole family was shaken.

14 years later, Iput decided to visit the world. She went on a long journey and reached Banganarti, in Africa : a small village of mud houses between the 3rd and 4th cataract of the Nile. The travel did change her, making her stronger than before. Then she came back and was quite happy to find her house and family. The same day, Iput began to drink often. A few days later, Iput dreamed of a better place.

At the age of 67, Iput decided to improve her knowledge. She found a mentor that teached her many new useful and wonderful things. The same day, Iput felt lonely. At the same time, Iput was rejected from her community.

In the year -1219, Iput spent a lot of time thinking and meditating about her beliefs. Nine months after, Iput felt lucky. On the first day of the month after, Iput had a crush on someone that didn't love her back.

Iput died of a respiratory failure.
