Akinyi Chepkiruison, (-2938, -2852) was a latrines keeper in Lomekwi.
Akinyi believed in Shamanism.
She lived a life of absolute poverty. Eating or sleeping in a safe place was a constant struggle. She was considered as belonging to the lowest caste. However, she made some friends among it. People saw Akinyi as cultivated, eager to read and learn when possible, and mastering writing, which she did for friends. She was vigorous, muscular, and had a near perfect body. She was known as resolute, with a true entrepreneur spirit.
Akinyi, 29 years old, latrines keeper, became the new leader of the family.
At the age of 39, Akinyi needed more love in her life and began to flirt around. Akinyi had a passionate affair with Gadise, a monstrous looking woman, 29 years old, a salt miner. Nine months after, Akinyi set herself the goal of being rich. Later, Akinyi was given a temporary position in the leading of Shum Laka.
5 years later, Akinyi decided to visit the world. She went on a long journey and reached Ngwenya Mine, in Africa : a beautiful rift where flows a river, with large haematite deposits. The travel was the occasion to do some merchandise dealing, and she made some business. Then she came back and was quite happy to find her house and family. Soon after, Akinyi lost her libido.
Aged 56, Akinyi decided to enjoy life. She spent everything she earned for the pleasure of the body and the mind. Many people in Shum Laka were invited to enjoy life with her, and thus, she made many friends. Half a year later, Akinyi found a special place near Shum Laka where she spent time to meditate.
8 years later, Akinyi decided to settle somewhere else. She packed a few possessions and departed for a new place. The travel was full of dangers, but by luck nothing happened to her. The family settled in Volubilis. On the first day of the month after, Akinyi drove away some wild beasts lurking around her house. Later, Akinyi had a wondrous dream of a infinite ocean. A few days later, Akinyi fell in love with Buneb, a charming man, 32 years old, a brick maker. Both married and lived together from now on.
Aged 73, Akinyi invested all her time and energy in her work. The same day, Akinyi felt unlucky.
Aged 86, Akinyi decided to go back to where her family came. She packed a few possessions and departed for a the old place she often talked about. The travel was fascinating, and she learned many things on the road. The family settled in Shum Laka. On the next full moon, Akinyi had her house burned in an accident. Soon after, Akinyi gave money to the poor.
Akinyi passed away of old age.
At the age of 101, Akinyi decided to go back to where her family came. She packed a few possessions and departed for a the old place she often talked about. The travel did change her, making her stronger than before. The family settled in Lomekwi.
