Apunanwu Shalyapincox

Apunanwu Shalyapincox, (1520, 1595) was a jeweler in Ouagadougou.

Apunanwu believed in Shamanism.

She lived a life of poverty. She was able to eat and sleep under a shelter, but ended with having no possession at all. She was considered as belonging to the lowest caste. However, she made some friends among it. She had a refined culture, and was known to read, and sometimes write, for pleasure. She was force of nature, and people saw in their body and beauty the incarnation of a god. She was iron-willed, achieving any goal she set.

Apunanwu, 49 years old, jeweler, became the new leader of the family.

In the year 1575, Apunanwu spent time and wealth to improve her living space. Now it was much more comfortable, and beautiful. The same day, Apunanwu had to quit Chinguetti after a flood. The travel was uneventful, and a little bit boring and long. The family settled in Ouagadougou. Soon after, Apunanwu fell in love with Hemaka, an ugly man, 25 years old, a beggar. Both married and lived together from now on.

In the year 1587, Apunanwu decided to improve her knowledge. She found a mentor that teached her many new useful and wonderful things. On the first day of the month after, Apunanwu became afraid of death.

8 years later, Apunanwu decided to visit the world. She went on a long journey and reached Rome, in Europe : capital of the roman empire, a huge city of stone temples with a huge colosseum. The travel was the occasion to do some merchandise dealing, and she made some business. Then she came back and was quite happy to find her house and family. At the same time, Apunanwu had nightmares.

Apunanwu died of a heart arrhythmia.
