Nedjeh Monker
Nedjeh Monker, (-1818, -1726) was a musician in Ngwenya Mine.
Nedjeh believed in Animism.
He lived a life of absolute poverty. Eating or sleeping in a safe place was a constant struggle. He belonged to the low caste of the society, and had some friends among the servants, beggars and workers. People saw Nedjeh as cultivated, eager to read and learn when possible, and mastering writing, which he did for friends. He was force of nature, and people saw in their body and beauty the incarnation of a god. He was soft-spirited, rejecting any responsability.
Nedjeh, 59 years old, musician, became the new leader of the family.
At the age of 70, Nedjeh spent time and wealth to improve his living space. Now it was much more comfortable, and beautiful. A few weeks later, Nedjeh was driven away from White Lady Rock for being different. The travel was fascinating, and he learned many things on the road. The family settled in Ngwenya Mine. The same day, Nedjeh created a tradition of an annual family meeting.
At the age of 80, Nedjeh wanted to find the love of his live and marry. He began to look for a suitable spouse in Ngwenya Mine. Nedjeh fell in love with Kesandu, a charming woman, 27 years old, a servant. Both married and lived together from now on. A few weeks later, Nedjeh sang the beauty of the world.
Soon after, Kesandu got pregnant, and gave birth to an ugly girl named Apunanwu.
Aged 92, Nedjeh decided to enjoy life. He spent everything he earned for the pleasure of the body and the mind. Many people in Ngwenya Mine were invited to enjoy life with him, and thus, he made many friends. The same day, Nedjeh read some forbidden texts. The same day, Nedjeh became paranoid.
The same day, Kesandu got pregnant, and gave birth to a very small girl named Pebatjma.
Nedjeh died of a respiratory failure.
