Mert Eipstein, (-1024, -953) was a jeweler in Istanbul / Constantinople / Byzantium.
Mert believed in Folk religion.
He lived mostly in extreme poverty. Simply eating was an issue, most of the days. He was rather respected though seen as belonging to the middle class. However, he could access to many opportunities. He was a major cultural actor of the time, and known to have autored masterpieces. He was vigorous, muscular, and had a near perfect body. He was known to be lazy, barely waking up in the morning.
Mert, 0 years old, was chosen to be the new leader of the family. However, he was too young for now and was raised by a friend of the family.
Aged 16, Mert, 16 years old, latrines keeper, became the new leader of the family.
Aged 21, Mert invested all his time and energy in his work. A little while after, Mert dug a well. On the first day of the month after, Mert learned an old tale from a wandering ermit. Later, Mert fell in love with Beren, a charming woman, 22 years old, a pictural artist. Both married and lived together from now on.
Later, Beren got pregnant and gave birth to an adorable baby boy, but he was weak and died the first night. Beren got heartbroken.
At the age of 33, Mert had an opportunity to change his activity. After some time and some learning, he became jeweler. Half a year later, Mert had a mystic vision, and nobody believed him. Half a year later, Mert imagined a story that became famous.

Aged 44, Mert understood that only the fittest can survive and swore to be the best. On the first day of the month after, Mert broke a leg.
Soon after, Beren got pregnant, and gave birth to a beautiful girl named Dinah.
12 years later, Mert looked for a child to adopt. Alas, he didn't have enough wealth to achieve this goal. He felt really sad. Soon after, Mert lost a hand that froze to necrosis.
At the age of 71, Mert understood that only by helping each other one can truly live. A little while after, Mert had big swings of mood following a depression.
Mert died of exhaustion after a normal day of work.
